Columbia/Barnard Hillel Onward Israel is geared towards students from Columbia & Barnard looking to have an amazing internship experience over the summer.
Columbia/Barnard Hillel Onward Israel is an immersive internship program offering resume building placements in a wide variety of opportunities. This opportunity stretches to a variety of different internship placements and allows students to develop their professional future, gain international work experience, and build their resume through a high-level internship in the field of their choice. Students spend part of the program entering from home working with their employer remotely while continuing in other remote educational aspects. This 8-week program places students in a remote internship based on their skills, interests, and future plans.
Participants will intern five days a week, and will enjoy educational programming opportunities exclusive for the Columbia/Barnard Hillel cohort to explore Israeli culture and business ecosystem.

Cost
$775
Cost includes all housing expenses, a food stipend, insurance, local transportation, and program costs.
The actual cost of the Onward Israel program is much higher and is subsidized 70% by Onward Israel, private donors, and local Jewish communities/institutions. Participants are responsible for arranging their own flights. Flight should not be purchased until a decision has been made about the viability of the program.
This Onward Israel program is operated through a partnership between the Beacon and Shapira Foundations and other leading philanthropists, the Government of Israel, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Hillel International, Columbia/Barnard Hillel.
Acceptance Criteria
This program is open to undergraduate students attending Columbia University or Barnard College.
Previous participation in Taglit-Birthright Israel is encouraged for any eligible applicants.
In order to be eligible, you ideally have NOT spent 3 or more months in Israel as part of an educational or peer-program (this includes semesters abroad, gap years, or any other Onward Israel program).
