The University of Florida Onward Israel program provides an amazing opportunity for Jewish Gators to intern in Israel this summer.
Students will live in Tel Aviv for 8 weeks this summer and immerse themselves in Israeli culture. Internships are available across many career fields. Students will intern with an Israeli company or organization that matches their field of interest.
Learn about Israeli society, economy, technology, and more through programming opportunities exclusively designed for the University of Florida program, a weekend retreat with other Onward Israel participants from North America and around the world, evening activities and more. In your free time, explore Tel Aviv’s exciting nightlife, beaches, food scene, and culture.

Cost
$975
Includes housing, insurance, modest food stipend, ground transportation and program costs. All participants are responsible for cost of and arranging their own flights.
Participants will be required to submit a $300 participation and security deposit in cash or check upon arrival in Israel. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the program pending good standing.
The actual cost of the Onward Israel – Masa program is much higher, and is subsidized up to 70% by Onward Israel, Masa Israel Journey, private donors, and local Jewish communities and institutions.
Participants on Onward Israel – Masa programs may return to Israel on long-term Masa programs after Onward Israel. They may also be eligible for additional scholarships from Masa to help fund their participation, although the size of that scholarship may be influenced by prior participation on Onward Israel. Acceptance Criteria
-This program is open to University of Florida and Santa Fe College students and recent graduates
-Between the ages of 19-27 years old (or at least one full year post-high school at the start of the program) who have NOT spent 3 or more months in Israel as part of an educational or peer-program (this includes semester abroad, gap year or any other MASA or Onward Israel program)
-Fluent in English
-Previous participation in Taglit-Birthright Israel is encouraged for any eligible applicants
This Onward Israel – Masa program is operated through a partnership between the Beacon and Shapira Foundations and other leading philanthropists, The Jewish Agency for Israel, the Government of Israel, Masa Israel Journey and University of Florida Hillel.
